 ZOOM
PUBERTY CLASS

An Online Course for 5th and 6th Graders with Bodies that Change

Picture
With all the disruptions in regular school programming, many students are not being offered the Puberty Education they would normally get in fifth grade.  But kids' bodies aren’t going to wait for the pandemic to end to start changing, so it’s important to find a way to offer children this relevant content in a safe, age-appropriate, and timely way.  Zoom Puberty Class helps students understand and normalize the physical, emotional, and social changes of puberty, and learn how to accept and care for themselves through those changes.

Zoom Puberty is open to current fifth graders and those sixth graders who didn't get to have Puberty Ed last year.  To ensure inclusion, three gender groupings are offered: kids who feel less self-conscious with classmates who have their same parts can sign up for the all-girl or all-boy class; gender-expansive kids and cisgender kids who are comfortable learning in a mixed-gender environment can enroll in the all-gender class.

Course Features:
  • Six, 1-hour classes, one day a week
  • Small class size: 12-16 students
  • Varied gender groupings to ensure all kids are included
  • Emphasis on self-acceptance and social safety
  • All identities, experiences, and backgrounds welcome!

Course fee: $150
Through January 25, a $30 deposit holds your space!
